SIDS America was born out of one family's pain and loss, but lives today to bring hope, help, and healing to families who have experienced the death of a child to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

After losing their precious 5-month-old son, Billy Jr., to SIDS on March 29, 2008, Bill and Cheryl Darnell felt called to reach out to other families suffering the same heartbreak. Within their own tragedy they caught a glimpse of the greater purpose that could be born from their son's death.

Held by the grace and peace of God amidst their own despair, they founded Little Billy's SIDS Support. Their initial efforts have grown into SIDS America, a nonprofit organization that seeks to bring hope to families across the nation until SIDS is no longer a threat to our precious babies.
